<p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p><strong>A one-day intensive introduction to speech formation<br />with a personalised online 1-1 session option</strong></p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>About the Workshop</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:list --></p> <ul><!-- wp:list-item --></p> <li>This is a one-day Speech Formation workshop, based on the voicework developed by Rudolf Steiner a century ago, alongside his radical approach to drama, education and social change. Speech Formation is a unique voice training as it brings about both physical and inner development.<br />Speech formation draws on a conception of the human being as a vehicle for body, soul and spirit. In the workshop, we will practice breathing and speech exercises to enable articulation, mobility and projection. These exercises help our use of the voice in teaching and public speaking, enabling confidence and improved health. No previous drama experience is required.</li> <p><!-- /wp:list-item --></p> <p><!-- wp:list-item --></p> <li>The workshop also draws on Dan Skinner’s many years of experience teaching drama in the UK and abroad. Some drama exercises will also be included as a means of contextualizing the voice work.</li> <p><!-- /wp:list-item --></p> <p><!-- wp:list-item --></p> <li>The optional 1-1 online session helps individuals to integrate learning and shape the speech work towards their specific need and motivation.
