- Speech Formation including gestures, exercises and study of lyric, epic, dramatic
- Mask and theatre making, improvisation, drama and theatre studies
- Epic Speech in Storytelling
- Greek gymnastics in relation to speech and drama
- Music Theory, History of Music, including tuition from visiting practitioners
- Plant Observation
- Painting, Black and White Drawing, History of Art
- Anatomy studies, including presentations by Anthroposophical doctors

Course Fees: Fee structure for 2026-27
Fees payable per single module : INR 35,000
Fees per module if paid yearly for five modules : INR 30,000 (INR 150,000 PA)
Fee assistance may be available for those wishing to complete the full training. Normally we do not offer bursaries for single or introductory modules

Eurythmy India – the next steps
We are so grateful to have finally found a home at Hidden Oasis, outside Pune, where an environment is being carefully nurtured to support our expanding school. Finally we are able to move on am appropriate dance floor rather than the hard tiled floors that have carried our work over the last 10 years. We now have three year groups with a new intake expected in August 2026. Following a successful graduation programme in 2024, our next graduation group is expected to visit Dornach in 2028 as the conclusion of their 5 yr training. .
Most of our graduates are now working as Eurythmists in Waldorf schools, some are about to graduate as Eurythmy Therapists, and some are now becoming part of the faculty of Eurythmy India. We would like to continue the process of performance research and development over and above the basic training, so that eurythmists can continue to develop their skills even after graduation. There will be a short course in the UK in August 2026 for the graduate group to this end. We see eurythmy as a lifelong learning process, and continue to support our students wherever possible in their ongoing professional life.
A new classroom with a wooden floor has been built specifically for eurythmy at the Prerana Waldorf schools, but some Waldorf schools in India do not yet have eurythmy as part of their curriculum. We are running short courses to encourage new participants for the full training so that eurythmy really can be a key part of any growing Waldorf school curriculum, led by fully qualified practitioners. Now we are trialling block teaching of eurythmy in Waldorf schools to the south of India, which enables eurythmy to be a part of the curriculum without having full time eurythmy teachers on the payroll. This a format that works well in other parts of the world, in western Canada for example. In Rudolf Steiner’s view, eurythmy was an essential element of Waldorf education and we hope very much to see the inclusion and celebration of eurythmy in every Waldorf school in India as well as in any school where our graduates are able to teach. Truly an art for the twenty-first century, eurythmy is a unique discipline in which every participant, young or old, can achieve another level of self-awareness, an increased sense of the inner power of music and speech, and a renewed social sensibility.
